ICC announces the warm up matches schedule for T20 World Cup 2024
Warm-up matches for the T20 World Cup will take place between May 27th and June 1st, 2024, at Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium (Texas), Broward County Stadium (Florida), Queen's Park Oval, and Brian Lara Cricket Academy (Trinidad and Tobago). Teams can play up to two warm-up matches depending on their arrival schedule. All matches will be played in the 20-over format, but the matches will not be recognized as international T20s.
The first practice match is scheduled for May 27, 2024, at Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Dallas between Canada and Nepal whereas the final match is scheduled for June 1, 2024, at an as-yet-to-be-confirmed venue between India and Bangladesh. Among the highlights is the match between the West Indies and Australia at Queen’s Park Oval, Trinidad and Tobago on Thursday, May 30, which will be open to fans.
Pakistan and England will not play any warm-up matches as they are set to play a 4-match T20I series from 22nd May 2024 to 30th May 2024. All other teams will participate in the warm-up matches.
