BTS RM's Monster Chart Success, Billboard Explain Video.
Billboard is celebrating RM's chart-topping achievements in the latest Billboard Explains video, just in time for the release of his new solo project, "Right Place, Wrong Person."
RM, the BTS superstar, first made his solo chart debut in 2015 under his Rap Monster moniker with the Warren G collaboration “P.D.D.,” which peaked at No. 9 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart. This was followed by his self-titled solo mixtape, which launched at No. 12 on the World Albums chart. Since then, RM has amassed 19 top 10 hits on the World Digital Song Sales tally, including four No. 1s. His first solo entry on the Hot 100 songs chart was the Youjeen collaboration “Wild Flower.” On the Billboard 200 albums chart, RM has ranked two projects: his "mono." mixtape and his debut album "Indigo."
RM's latest album, "Right Place, Wrong Person," released on May 24, is his second solo album, following the success of "Indigo," which reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200. This new 11-track album, led by the single “Come Back to Me,” includes alternative pop songs like “Nuts,” “Groin,” “Heaven,” and “LOST!” The album showcases a raw and honest presentation of RM’s distinctive sensibility, aesthetics, and beliefs.
With BTS currently on hiatus due to the members' mandatory military service, RM’s solo career continues to flourish, proving his enduring talent and appeal. For a deeper dive into RM’s chart success, check out the full Billboard Explains video.
