A Citizen of Abbottabad requests to open Gay Club in Abbottabad.

A Citizen from Abbottabad submitted a formal petition for approval (No Objection Certificate) to establish a social venue catering to a specific demographic in Abbottabad. This request sparked debate, as some viewed it as a practical measure for a local community which is also known as LGBTQ while others questioned its feasibility in a traditionally conservative region.

Citing the right to assemble enshrined in the nation's legal framework, the petitioner aimed to create a designated space for socializing. The proposed name for this venue was "Lorenzo Gay Club". The potential impact of this initiative on LGBTQ+ rights in the country remains to be seen. It's unclear whether this would be a catalyst for progress or exacerbate existing challenges faced by these communities, considering the prevailing social attitudes towards same-sex relationships.

The person who submitted this request has further explained his demand as the rightful and trending demand of free association as given by the law and government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
